It’s not every day that you get to visit an International Arrivals Lounge. They are few and far between these days as airlines look to save on every dollar on expenses. On our ANA International Business Class trip across the Pacific Ocean to Japan, we had the opportunity to visit the ANA Arrivals Lounge at the Tokyo Narita International Airport in Terminal One. Review: All Nippon Airways (ANA) Arrivals Lounge, Tokyo Narita,… Read More

The airport at London Heathrow offers among the greatest quantity of different lounges in the world. Thanks to four separate terminals in Terminals numbered One through Five and an airport that is always in different stages of innovation and rebuild, there is always something new to experience at London Heathrow. Today’s lounge experience was brought to us by Singapore Airlines Silver Kris Lounge; their furthest outpost of a lounge in the Singapore… Read More

We had a welcomed, but brief stop at the Swiss Business Lounge in Concourse D at the Zurich International Airport. The lounge is located in the non Shenghen terminal, and it is used to serve flights to the United Kingdom, like the one we were on today. We had another pleasant stay experience with Swiss who generally offer excellent lounges. Review: Swiss Business Lounge D, Concourse D, Non Schengen, Zurich International Airport,… Read More

Thanks to time zone placement, there isn’t anywhere better in the whole world than the continent of Europe for a well placed Business Class Arrivals Lounge. As a result of many intercontinental flights arriving in the morning, airlines are well poised to offer space to refresh; take a shower or take a breakfast before heading into town. We had an opportunity to take in one of the world’s best Arrival Lounges by… Read More

Air Canada offers a fulsome lounge network across eleven different Canadian Cities. With Canada being such a broad country, it’s admirable that they take care of their customers given that their flights are in much smaller capacity than our neighbours to the south. On a visit to the Prairies, I stopped by the local Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge which has to be among the smallest in the overall system. Review: Air… Read More

After a week in Spain seeing Madrid, Salamanca and Barcelona, it was time for our onward journey back home to Canada. This trip would have us connecting Spain – Germany – United States then Canada with a short stopover in Germany (for a pretzel). The Puerta de Alcalá VIP Lounge turned out to be a great prelude to our Shengen flight with Lufthansa. This post is one chapter in our Around the… Read More

The Asiana First Class Lounge in Seoul Incheon was a classy and tranquil space, much like it’s Asiana First Class first class product. During our visit, I resisted the urge to play the grand piano; believed to be the only grand piano in the Star Alliance Lounge system. This post is one chapter in our Around the World in Star Alliance First Class via China, Thailand and Spain. This trip was booked… Read More

The Star Alliance First Class Lounge at the Tom Bradley International Terminal was undergoing an upgrade during our visit. It was still a comfortable place to hang out and is among one of the toughest lounges to access thanks to limited Star Alliance First Class flights leaving from this airport. This post is one chapter in our Around the World in Star Alliance First Class via China, Thailand and Spain. This trip… Read More

Review: Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, LAX Terminal 6, Los Angeles, USA I left the Star Alliance Lounge in the Tom Bradley International Terminal and headed over to Terminal 6 & 7. There was the usual plane spotting at TBIT, with the most interesting one today being the Hello Kitty Eva Air B777. I made my way through the maze of tunnels and quickly swung by the United Club in Terminal 7… Read More
