Alaska Airlines provides connector service from Vancouver to Seattle on a fairly frequent basis on either it’s jet aircraft in the Boeing 737 series, or the propellor aircraft in either the Dash 8 or Q400 series. While we’ve reviewed this flight dozens of times, this post had us flying on Alaska’s newest Boeing 737-900 series aircraft. Review: Alaska Airlines First Class B737-9, Vancouver International Airport – Seattle Tacoma International Airport We both… Read More
For our short flight leaving Seattle, we opted for jet service with Delta Airlines, instead of propeller service on competing brands Air Canada and Alaska Airlines. Our First Class flight was competitively priced, and offered us lounge access at the Delta Sky Club, in addition to heavy baggage allowance. Review: Delta Airlines First Class E135, Seattle Tacoma International Airport – Vancouver International Airport “Delta Airlines offered jet service between Seattle and Vancouver… Read More
The Sky Team network is one that doesn’t happen to have a lot of footprint in my home country of Canada. While it does offer many international connections to and from Canada to China, the lounges are something that have always escaped me. We would get the opportunity to visit the Delta Sky Club “S” Concourse at Sea-Tac International Airport in Seattle, Washington, United States prior to our International Flight in First… Read More
There are many carriers that operate from the mega airport of Los Angeles International Airport. While many carriers operate smaller regional jets up and down the coast, Alaska Airlines exclusively offers a Boeing 737 in it’s fleet, with the occasional Airbus 320 that is left over from it’s Virgin Australia acquisition. In Alaska Airlines First Class, this affords a little extra room over its competitors that usually use an smaller Embraer aircraft…. Read More
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is one of the less known carriers in the Star Alliance Network. While it’s not as popular as some other Asian carriers, it does offer outstanding Japanese on board catering that is unlike any other in the world. We tested out their class leading ANA Business Staggered Class product on nine hour Trans-Pacific flight. This post is one chapter on our second Round the World trip via Japan,… Read More
During our long layover at SEA-TAC we also ventured over to The Club at SEA Lounge in the “S” Concourse. Many of the International flights from Seattle depart from the Seattle Tacoma International Airport “S” Gates. Despite the concourse being a small train ride out, there isn’t much available in the “S” Concourse to keep you entertained, making access to a lounge all that more important. This post is one chapter on… Read More
The United Club at Sea Tac recently underwent a relocation from the “N” Gates to the “A” Gates. When United moved the lounge, they also refreshed the concept in more modern colours, tones and space. The new lounge occupies a much smaller footprint than the old version, but still represents a pleasant space. Review: United Club Sea – Tac “A” Gates, Seattle, Washington, United States This is a review of the United… Read More
We had a short connection flight in order to access our international business class flight overseas to Japan. Our flight down from Vancouver to Seattle was on Air Canada Jazz, also branded as Air Canada Express on a dated De-Havilland Dash 8 under sunny morning skies. Review: Air Canada Jazz Express Dash-8, Vancouver – Seattle We left the Air Canada Maple Leaf Vancouver Transborder lounge and headed to the short commuter flight… Read More
We had a few bumps on a long layover after getting off a wonderful international first class flight. This involved a few long queues and attempts to get our ticket changed to get home a little earlier without success. Despite this, we were comfortable put up in the Seattle United Club (Red Carpet Club) lounges at the time. This post is one chapter in our Around the World in Star Alliance First… Read More
Lufthansa First Class is an International First Class Experience that’s at the top of it’s game. Although they’ve modernized the First Class cabin since this trip, it remains among my favourite first class experiences in the world and the best among Star Alliance carriers. This post is one chapter in our Around the World in Star Alliance First Class via China, Thailand and Spain. This trip was booked using Air Canada Aeroplan… Read More
