Alaska Airlines provides connector service from Vancouver to Seattle on a fairly frequent basis on either it’s jet aircraft in the Boeing 737 series, or the propellor aircraft in either the Dash 8 or Q400 series. While we’ve reviewed this flight dozens of times, this post had us flying on Alaska’s newest Boeing 737-900 series aircraft. Review: Alaska Airlines First Class B737-9, Vancouver International Airport – Seattle Tacoma International Airport We both… Read More

The last flight of our Delta Airlines flights to and from New York had us returning to Canada on a Delta Airlines Embraer 175. We credited this flight to the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan frequent flier program, prior to their program divorce that would cut this terrific earning benefit. Our late evening flight would offer us a full meal, a reasonably comfortable seat and an open bar for most of the trip…. Read More

Skyteam Member Delta Airlines services a few select destinations to their hub cities in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis St Paul and Atlanta, United States of America. As Skyteam doesn’t have a great presence in Canada, and a less aspirational airline alliance, as Canadians we don’t typically tend to use them. Today, we’d be flying them almost directly from our home on the west coast of Canada in Vancouver, to… Read More

Our travels home would have us departing from Europe’s largest Skyteam hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle. With a competitive overseas marketplace, Air France goes head to head against Lufthansa from their co-bases in Frankfurt / Munich, and British Airways from their busy hub at London Heathrow. How would Air France stack up against these heavy weights? Review: Air France Business Class B777-200 ER, Paris Charles de Gaulle – Vancouver International Airport…. Read More

The Sky Team Alliance is an airline network that doesn’t have a major foot print in my home country of Canada. While Sky Team serves many Pacific Rim destinations westward towards China, its service in North America is limited to Delta Airlines which doesn’t operate a domestic version within Canada. Air France established itself as a European Sky Team option; providing connecting service at Paris Charles De Gaulle. From Vancouver, Canada, it… Read More

For our short flight leaving Seattle, we opted for jet service with Delta Airlines, instead of propeller service on competing brands Air Canada and Alaska Airlines. Our First Class flight was competitively priced, and offered us lounge access at the Delta Sky Club, in addition to heavy baggage allowance. Review: Delta Airlines First Class E135, Seattle Tacoma International Airport – Vancouver International Airport “Delta Airlines offered jet service between Seattle and Vancouver… Read More

Our departing early morning flight from Vancouver International Airport was on American Airlines today. It was a contrast from our other experiences whom were on Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines while we flew on a transborder basis. Our experience on American Airlines was comfortable and pleasant, although not super memorable. Review: American Airlines Compass Airlines dba as American Eagle, E175, Vancouver International Airport – Los Angeles Terminal Six “American Airlines offered “lounge-less”… Read More

Our Trans Pacific Flight on Japan Airlines was on one of Japan Airlines newest equipment types; the brand new Boeing 787. For some strange reason, Japan Airlines decided to outfit this new plane with angle flat seats. While the seats looks neat and contemporary, they are aren’t as comfortable as they could be. The flight was also highlighted by Japan Airlines’ pleasant on board service. Review: Japan Airlines Business Shell Flat Neo,… Read More

Delta Airlines offers some limited flights too and from Vancouver International Airport, with non stop service to and from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Minneapolis / St Paul, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. Today’s experience with the usual competitor was on a Delta Airlines First Class flight Vancouver – Los Angeles. While we enjoyed a lower price, we didn’t get lower features. We invite you to read on to see why… Review: Delta Airlines… Read More

Air Canada’ newest aircraft is the Boeing 737 Max 8, which arrived in the middle of a pandemic and questionable safety issues on the part of the Boeing manufacturer. How did the aircraft stand up on our short shuttle flight between cities on Canada’s West Coast? Review: Air Canada Business Class B737 – Max 8, Calgary International Airport – Vancouver International Airport “Air Canada’s newest business class product is a substantial improvement… Read More

Plaza Premium has a strong foot print in Canada, serving many of the Canadian airports in its larger centres. One of the lounges that they operate is the quirky Plaza Premium Lounge in the Vancouver Domestic Terminal “C”. It’s unique as a small miniature lounge that seats approximately 25 people in an open air terminal concept. If you enjoyed this post, please follow us here or on social media through Facebook, Twitter… Read More

Our trans continental flight from Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau to Vancouver International was on Airbus 320-2 equipment today. It featured traditional recliner seats. We were well fed as we travelled across Canada, on our last flight home from India. While not the most exciting of business class products, this configuration is the back bone of the Air Canada business class domestic fleet. Review: Air Canada Business Class, A320-2, Montréal Pierre Elliott Trudeau… Read More
