For our overnight stay in New Delhi, we had a very short one day stay prior to our travels home. Instead of going for a higher end property, we ended up at the ITC Maurya for a quick stay in New Delhi. While it was not as exotic as The Leela Palace, it was more than reasonable at a far lower price point. Hotel Review: The ITC Maurya, A Luxury Collection Hotel,… Read More
In Jaipur, Rajhastan, The Rambagh Palace is the most elegant hotel in town. Featuring a castle palace like setting, the hotel features regal appointments in royal settings. The Rambagh Palace featured a comfortable place to base operations while staying in Jaipur and our stay there was an exceptionally memorable travel hotel experience. Hotel Review: The Rambagh Palace by Taj Hotels, Rajasthan, Jaipur, India ” The Rambagh Palace used to be the maharajah’s… Read More

After substantial research and several recommendations, we ended up at The Leela Palace New Delhi. The Leela Palace New Delhi was an outstanding pick and our needs were certainly met and fulfilled through our three… Read More
There isn’t quite anywhere in the world that is like the Maldives. The Maldives is a country with almost one thousand atolls, with a select few of them containing some exceptional and outstanding resorts. A typical resort experience on the Maldives involves a private island experience with only a few guests; complete peace and serenity for miles around often surrounded by the most unimaginable beauty of nature and island living. Our return… Read More
The capital of the Maldives is the city of Malé. Malé is the most populous city in the Republic of Maldives. With a population of 227,486 and an area of 8.30 square kilometres (3.20 sq mi), it is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world. With that population comes expensive real estate, which is often translated into higher room rates. For our stopover in Malé, we ended up at the Hotel Jen… Read More
The Island country state of Singapore hosts millions of tourists and visitors in a normal year, thanks to a combination of geopolitical positioning, a welcoming stance towards tourism and business and its constantly warm and tropical climate. Singapore has all the main hotel brands, but it hasn’t had a lot of new properties to stay at that have been very attractive. We took in the brand new Westin Singapore on our last… Read More
We opted for a stay at the conveniently located Sheraton Saigon Hotel and Towers for our stay in Ho Chi Minh city. While the Sheraton is an older property brand in Asia, we were really impressed with tis attention to detail and service orientation. We were made to feel like gold while we stayed here. We had a comfortable stay that would easily have us recommend this property for those looking for… Read More
We ended up mis-connecting in Seoul Incheon as a result of mechanical problems from our Air Canada flight. Instead of continuing onwards on a connection, we happened upon the Nest Hotel, a member of Design hotels as our temporary home for the night. Our stay ended up being in a hotel which was a hip urban contemporary property. It was something surprising and a stark contrast from the usual drab cookie cutter… Read More

The resort features of Casino Hotels are always designed to keep you gambling instead of actually enjoying the property. As a result, it’s been my experience that the pools and grounds of casino hotels are pretty lack lustre when compared to other beach or mountain properties. The Aria Sky Suites was no exception to this rule, despite a resort “fee”. Despite this, the room was well set up for private dining. It’s… Read More
Las Vegas, Nevada is a city that has almost one hundred and fifty thousand available hotel rooms. The choice and breath of these rooms make selection broad and expansive. The MGM Resorts own several of the properties on the Las Vegas Strip, including the Aria Resort which commands a Central South Strip location near many of the cities’ highlights. The upscale edition of the Aria property, the Aria Sky Suites, would be… Read More
We don’t often make a point of staying in Best Western hotels, but sometimes you’d don’t have a choice in the matter. In this case, the Best Western was the option over a Super 8 or a Travelodge so it was the choice by default. We weren’t expecting a whole lot, but came away with a comfortable stay after three days. This post is one chapter on our trip to Kenora, Lake… Read More
